Last Minute Day Hike To Buttermilk Falls

Details
The heat wave is over! Let's go for a day hike to Delaware Water Gap / Stokes State Forest to see Buttermilk Falls! This time we'll add a twist - starting our hike at the Crater Lake parking lot.
The hike will be approximately 12-13 miles long with a total elevation gain of about 1500 feet. This is considered a difficult hike primarily because of the distance. Only physically fit individuals should participate, though no prior hiking experience is necessary.
The number of participants is limited by the availability of carpool seats. I'll open more spots as more drivers sign up, so please add yourself to the waitlist if the event is full. If you are willing to drive or potentially rent a car, please indicate this when you sign up. If a car rental is needed, I'll let everyone know. In that case, the rental cost will be split among all participants needing carpooling from NYC.
The plan is to leave New York City around 8:00 a.m. to meet at the Crater Lake parking lot by 10:00 a.m. You can find the exact location via the pin above on this page or using this link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RGQPQ76yzH4jvpX99
Everyone should bring lunch/snacks and at least two liters of water for the hike. We may stop for dinner on our way back home. We should be back in NYC around 7:30 p.m.
Regarding gear, everyone must have good hiking boots. Also, bring sunscreen. Don't forget to bring a rain jacket in case of a rain shower, though rain is not in the forecast (only clouds). I'll bring a map, compass, first aid kit, and other essential gear. If you have any individual questions, please email me.
If you have questions for the entire group, please post them here. I will contact everyone who signed up on Friday evening to organize carpooling.
