Join us for a spring hike in Harriman State Park. We will hike for around 6-9 miles, or 4.5 hours, in the southwestern section of the park, starting out from Tuxedo train station and hiking in the area between there and Tom Jones shelter to the northeast.

We will take breaks for water, snacks, and lunch. Expect to move at a moderate pace with some steep climbs and descents. Our exact route will be Tuxedo Station - Grove Dr - Ramapo Dunderberg Trail to Tom Jones Shelter, then Victory Trail to Blue Disc and Tuxedo-Mtn Ivy back to the train station. However, we can adjust as needed.

We will meet at NY Penn Station at 9am - let’s meet by the Haagen Dazs near the 32 St and 7 Av entrance, next to the NJ Transit concourse- and catch the 9:14am train, transferring at Secaucus Junction, and arriving at Tuxedo station at 10:29am. Drivers can meet us at the Tuxedo station at 10:30am. On return, we will catch the 4:20pm train from Tuxedo which gets in to NY Penn at 5:36pm.

The weather looks to be sunny but crisp - high of 60 degrees. Wear layers. Bring 2L of water, a snack and a good lunch. Wear good hiking boots or running shoes. Hiking poles may help. While we will hike as a group, everyone is responsible for themselves.
