Tuesday lesson: "Sands of Old Lahaina" (line dance)

BLAZING SADDLES' WEEKLY UPDATE:

1. TUESDAY LESSON: This Tuesday's lesson (6/2) will be a new improver line dance called "Sands of Old Lahaina," choreography by Kaua‘i's own Jeffrey Callejo (instructor: Isabel), at 7:00 pm. Come join us for the fun at the Ala Wai Golf Course Clubhouse Ballroom (2nd floor - look for the rainbow flag)! Beginners welcome!

• 6:30 pm - Open dancing begins
• 7:00 pm - Lesson: "Sands of Old Lahaina" (line dance)
• 8:00 pm - Announcements
• 9:00 pm - Open dancing ends

Aloha everyone! The United States, Canada, and Mexico are often under‑represented when it comes to line dance awards — and that includes all of us here in Hawai‘i. Our North American instructors, choreographers, dancers, and events deserve to be seen and celebrated.

I encourage you to do your part for our North American line dance community by casting your votes before June 21, 2026. Choose your favorites, lift up the talent we have, and help ensure our community finally gets the recognition it has earned.
