Intro to Google Glass

Details
You may have noticed that the "winds of change" from last month have blown through and left behind a slightly different meetup! We've rebranded as "Bleeding Edge Web" (@EdgeATX (https://twitter.com/EdgeATX)) and expanded our focus beyond just Sencha technologies (although we'll still cover those also). We also have a new Tumblr (http://bleedingedgeatx.tumblr.com/about) where we'll post useful and interesting stuff going forward.
News and Trends
We'll discuss the most interesting headlines from the last month in the world of JavaScript, HTML5, browsers and other front end web technology. We'll also keep a finger on the pulse of front end development, highlighting current trends in libraries and tools. A few highlights:
Browser news (FF 22, IE 11, Chrome Frame) W3C news (new web cryptography API, CSS masking working draft) Library updates (PhoneGap 3.0) Austin news (new meetups, upcoming events) And more... Deep Dive
We are very excited to host Kyle Samani (https://www.meetup.com/Austin-Google-Glass-Meetup/members/18578671/), CEO of Pristine and organizer of the new Google Glass meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Austin-Google-Glass-Meetup/) here in Austin. He'll be giving a hands-on(!) demo of Glass, the new wearable computing platform from Google. Kyle's company is focused on commercializing Glass development in the medical field, and he'll be talking about the Glass platform, why you might choose to develop with it and some technical examples of how to work with it. Talk about a great way to kick off our "bleeding edge" format -- this talk is not to be missed!
Community
We'll end the meetup with group announcements (are you hiring? are you looking?) along with a discussion of ideas for making the meetup more interactive. Corey and I have some ideas, and we definitely want to hear your thoughts as well.
After the meetup, we'll wander a block over to Iron Cactus for discussion and margaritas, so please stay after if you can. We had a great time there last month!
