Want to build a website to showcase your growing tech skills and portfolio? Not sure about what you should and shouldn’t include on a website? Join BGN BLD in an hands-on, interactive tech teaching class on February 24 from 5:30 - 7pm. Our very own Lloyd Mckenzie and Camille Vogl will show you how to build a simple 3-page website using the free Wix website builder.

You’ll learn how to structure a website using basic web design principles and even practice coding certain elements of your site. Walk out of the class with

• A website with home, contact, and portfolio pages
• Basic understanding of best practices in web design and personal branding
• The ability to craft web copy with search engine optimization (SEO) in mind
• The skill of enhancing a website using custom code
