Introduction to Ayurveda
Details
To launch our group we will focus on an Introduction to Ayurveda. Manjula Paul, B.A.M.S. will offer a 20 minute discussion in which she explains the definition and basic principles of Ayurveda, including the three doshas, Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each participant will receive a doshic balance worksheet that can be used in determining their own doshic balance.
After a brief Q & A, we will have a 20 minute low-impact Yoga session presented by Janneke Stegnik. This will be followed by a brief pranayama and we’ll end our session with a 60 minute mantra or keerthana chanting session.
This group is for those who wish to understand a more holistic approach to their health, and is a great way to relieve stress and prepare yourself for the upcoming week!
