Moderate Hike. Expected to hike for 10+ miles and 2000+ft all on trail. This one’s a good starter hike for those looking to up their distance, the trail is well defined and gently ascending up Cold Stream and through a beautiful alpine meadow before the final ascent to the summit. Nothing technical. We’ll traverse the ridge and hit the Sierra County High Point on the way back (Mt Lola - North Peak).
Met at Cabellas in Verdi at 5am and expect about a one hour drive to the trailhead - some
Dirt roads 2WD or carpool.
You take part at your own risk - you will be required to sign a waiver.
Recommend about 1 1/2 liters of water - plenty availability on the trail. Expect 4 - 6 hour hike. Coca Cola required.
