Bitcoin Edinburgh Meetup #3
Details
This time round, we'll be joined by Derek Nisbet, editor of Bitcoin: Views (http://bitcoinviews.com/)for the official launch of the Scotcoin Project (http://scotcoin.org/) - a voluntary, opt-in crypto-currency that's available to anyone that's resident in Scotland (check out the link to coverage in the Guardian here (http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/mar/25/bitcoin-goes-national-with-scotcoin-auroracoin)).
The SCOTCOIN Project is an independent project that is not linked or associated with any banking, financial or corporate institution. It is not linked in any way to any political party, or governmental power but is simply an opportunity offered to residents of Scotland, with voluntary opt-in and free market adoption.
If you've not been to a meetup before, don't be shy - just pitch up, grab a drink and have a chat. We've got a good mix of people who know Bitcoin and crypto-currencies inside out - plus people who are completely new to the subject but just keen to try to learn about what's really going on. So if you've just heard about Bitcoin in the press but still don't understand what the fuss is all about, come along.
As ever, please do share the details of this meetup amongst your own networks and RSVP. Any questions, get in touch, either here or on Twitter (@dugcampbell)
See you all on the 1st April!
