We are excited to be hosting the first Blockchain & Web3 Meetup in Thessaloniki on Thursday June 23, 7-9pm. University of Macedonia kindly volunteered to offer a room for this event, but I guess it's a win win as one of our speakers, PhD from UoM but also an Aristotle Uni BSc student, is an ex-Facebook research lead; yes, as you'll realize Meta's Blockchain, Security and WhatsApp teams have significant Greek presence.
Our 2 keynote speakers fly directly from Silicon Valley, both working at Mysten Labs and the Sui Blockchain which recently raised $36M from some of the most prestigious Venture Capitals in the world, including Andreessen Horowitz, Redpoint, CoinBase and Samsung Next. According to startuppirate.gr this is the biggest Series-A investment with 2 Greek founders in the blockchain space.
This is a great opportunity for someone to attend, especially because the instructors promised to give hints on how students from Economics, Marketing, Legal, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Uni departments can find a perfect and highly-paid job in the industry, either in Greece or abroad.
