I hope that you are all having a good week.

Upcoming events:

-October Meetup
This month we are meeting at Algiers in Cambridge, which has great coffee and is right next to the Brattle Theater. We will meet upstairs-I will get a table and the sign should be visible. This is really low key social-new members should feel free to come. We can get to know each other and talk about some of the other events listed below such as:

-National Blog Posting Month November 1-30, 2007
Started last year by Eden Marriott Kennedy, a member of BlogHer and inspired by National Novel Writing Month National Blog Posting Month is growing by leaps and bounds.

During the month of November, bloggers sign up and make a pact to blog every single day. That's right-every single day. At the end, prizes are awards. You can find out about them at the website:

What's really great about this year (besides the fact that more people know about it) is that there are groups that you can join and chat with just like over a NaNiMoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)

I've signed up and taken the pledge for both-this will be my first year participating in NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month ) and my third doing NaNiMoWriMo.

I hope that you all take the opportunity to participate in NaBloPoMo-if you are new to blogging or let your blogging lapse, it's a great way to get involved. If you blog faithfully, it's a great way to connect with and inspire others.

-Join Blog Day for the MOTHERS Act on October 24th
This is part of BlogHer's initiative to support maternal health. The MOTHERS (Moms Opportunity to Access Help, Education, Research and Support for Postpartum Depression) Act, (S. 3529), is a bill to ensure that new mothers and their families are educated about postpartum depression, screened for symptoms and provided with essential services. In addition, it will increase research into the causes, diagnoses and treatments for postpartum depression.

If you can, take a moment and support this cause. More information can be found at:

-The BlogHer Reach Out Tour
BlogHer, has organized annual conferences specifically for women bloggers of all flavours for a few years in various cities. In addition to the 2008 conference, they will reaching out to some of the other major cities where groups of bloggers exist but whose members may have been able to make the host city for the conference.

Boston is on their tour. If you wish to volunteer or assist with the planning, you can go to the following website and sign up from there:

-I added some polls, which will help me in planning future meetups for next year. Please take time to answer them.

As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas.
