You do not need to have finished the book, and mark the passages that made you stop and think, and bring your strongest impressions — as the conversation is always better when people speak from honest experience of the text.

First-timers are warmly encouraged to come along — and the group tends to make first-timers feel at ease very quickly, nothing beyond the book and your thoughts is needed, and the group makes it easy to contribute from the start.
