What we’re about
Welcome to the Meetup Group for Four Seasons Toastmasters Club! This group is perfect for those who want to improve their communication skills, including impromptu speaking.
Whether your goal is to overcome a fear of public speaking, or take your presentation skills to the next level, Toastmasters is the place to be.
Stop in and visit a Four Seasons Toastmasters Club meeting, free of charge, and see how Toastmasters can benefit you.
At Toastmasters, new members learn the art of public speaking by completing Toastmasters' trademarked Pathways program online. Pathways access is included as part of your membership and provides you with your first speech assignments, all carefully structured to ensure your success. Each speech project will help you enhance your basic speaking skills such as how to organize a speech, how to use visual aids, how to use voice inflection, and how to persuade or inspire your audience. Pathways also helps develop skills like leadership, planning, negotiation, collaboration, etc.
Table Topics is a fun segment of every meeting that helps participants build skills for thinking on their feet. These are impromptu opportunities to speak for 1-2 minutes on a given subject.
Besides mastering the art of public speaking, we also have plenty of time to network and develop friendships.
Come and join us sometime, so you can experience a friendly environment and see if Four Seasons Toastmasters Club is right for you.
NOTE: Most of our members are not on Meetup, so there are more people attending our meetings than it shows on Meetup.

Four Seasons Toastmasters Club (http://fourseasons.toastmastersclubs.org) will provide you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation. Whether you are a professional, a student, a stay-at-home parent, or a retiree, Toastmasters is the most effective, enjoyable and affordable way of gaining strong communication and leadership skills. By learning to think quickly on your feet and to express your ideas with confidence, you'll gain the respect of peers and become more persuasive in everyday conversations.
Our members' skill levels range from still learning the English language to advanced speaker.
To learn more, and to meet our members, visit one of our regular meetings, held from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.
Guests are ALWAYS welcome to attend and at no cost. (Actually joining costs approximately $10 per month but allows full participation in the program.)
So, what happens at a Toastmasters meeting? Some members will give prepared speeches and then members and guests will be allowed to give impromptu speeches on selected topics. Constructive evaluation of the speeches and meeting follows, for continual improvement. (It's more fun than it sounds, and really helps improve skills.)
There is no obligation to speak--we wait until YOU feel ready.
If you would like to preview the flow of a typical Toastmasters meeting, watch this short video of a simulated meeting. It will help you better understand what we do and how it could benefit you. (One key difference: at Four Seasons Toastmasters, we do not vote on best speaker at our regular meetings.)
