What we’re about
Do you like books? Do you like Russell Square? Do you like meeting new people? If you find yourself say yes to all three of these questions, then this group is for you.
The idea is to spend some time in Russell Square; read a few chapters in a cafe, visit a book shop, get something to eat, edit your manuscript, go for a scenic walk or work on an essay/short story/etc. Then at 7:10pm, we meet near the station (The Brunswick Centre) and engage each other in some light conversation for about 30 to 45 minutes.
This group is for both readers and writers, anybody who loves literature.
During late-spring, summer and early autumn, events will be hosted outside, in well-lit, comfortable locations.
These events are for people who are: open minded, balanced and passionate.
Essentially this means being able to look at ideas from different perspectives and wanting to learn new things, being ambitious and self-confident without showing off and knowing what you love about life and having the courage to go for what you want/believe in.
Feel free to wear a mask if you prefer and remember to try to keep your distance.
Twelve hours prior to a meeting, if at least 5 people have not RSVP’d, the event may be postponed.
