Beginners - Graves Mill Trail in Madison

Details
One of our veteran hiking members, Ken Hawker, introduced me to this trail. It is an easy, gorgeous walk under the trees along the Rapidan River with minimal rocky challenges BUT all beginners will enjoy the pleasure of getting their feet wet. We will be required to ford a atream and rock hop another, both ways! Bring spare shoes to change after. A strong message to beginners - DON’T sign up for this hike if you don’t have sticks, the right shoes, and a cautious approach at the stream fording. Even beginners need a little excitement in a hike but we don’t want anyone breaking a hip.
Dogs are permitted.
