Veach Gap trail to Page Valley Overlook, Out and Back

This hike will be up the eastern ridge of Fort Valley, VA, via the Veach Gap and Massanutten trails. The route is a moderate incline the entire way. There is one stream that we'll cross on the way up and again on the way back down. We'll stop for a snack and enjoy the view looking down on Page Valley and the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The pace will be reasonable at 2.0-2.5 mph.

We'll depart at 9:00am sharp so please arrive early enough to be ready to walk by 9:00.

Distance: ~ 7.5 miles
Elevation gain: ~ 1,100 feet
Pace: 2 – 2.5 mph
Dogs: Dogs are allowed. Please let me know if you plan to bring your dog.
