Eagle Rock

Repeat performance of this great hike! 7-ish miles with almost 1200ft in elevation change, averaging a 30 min mile, be sure this is within your ability before signing up. Pack a lunch because we are going to lounge on the rock outcrop for an hour and enjoy the gorgeous views. Please do not sign up unless you really intend to come. Please give enough notice if cancelling.

Trailhead Parking: 39.08535, -78.51080. Parking is on the Road, Rt 48/55, Wardensville Pike. Right at the VA/WV border. On one side only. Look for the group. Be careful! PARKING IS TIGHT.

Rehydration: none afterward. we will be lunching up at the top. Pack a lunch

Reminders: Make sure your emergency contact information is in your pack. Bring hiking poles, plenty of water, electrolytes, snacks, sunscreen. Dress for the weather, emergency rain gear as needed. If weather becomes an issue this hike will be cancelled and you will receive a meetup message from me by 6:00am on date of hike.
