Felix received his PhD in high energy physics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2011.

Then, he joined Blue Yonder, a provider of cloud-based predictive applications for the retail market, where he led the machine learning (ML) core team and developed, among other things, new methods for demand forecasting and shaping.
In 2018, Blue Yonder got acquired by JDA (subsequently re-branded to Blue Yonder), a leading provider of supply chain management software. As Corporate Vice President, Data Science and Blue Yonder fellow, Felix was responsible for R&D and operations of several ML-based products and services, aiming for an autonomous supply chain.
In 2021, Blue Yonder got, in turn, acquired by Panasonic and in 2023, he changed to Panasonic (working in Panasonic R&D Center Germany GmbH) as Executive Data Scientist and director of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory (in Panasonic Connect‘s R&D division).
Moreover, Felix is a lecturer for ML at KIT.
