Lower Cove Spring Park in Frankfort

Lets hike Lower Cold Spring Park in Frankfort. Cove Spring is a hidden gem with a running spring fed creek and 2 small waterfalls and 6 miles of trail. In addition, on site, the Cove Spring Water Works established in 1804, was the first established public water works on the western frontier and includes a stone retention dam, overflow tower and walled spring. Cove spring farm was also at this location and includes a farm house stone foundation, retaining wall and early stone 19th century smokehouse
