Hike the Rough Trail -Signature Rock

Hike plans
Starting from the Martins Fork trailhead, we wil hike to Signature Rock via the Rough trail. Before we reach our point of destination we will pick up an unofficial trail to enjoy the view from the Veranda. Our lunch break will be at Signature Rock then hike back to MF trailhead for an out and back hike.

Estimated Mileage 8-9 miles with some rock scrambling and steep elevation changes. Rating Moderately strenuous

Leashed dogs are welcome to join. The dog could need assistance on rock scrambling sections.

September is bringing us some cooler temperatures but still very warm outside. Bring plenty of water. 2-3 liters minimum

9AM --Meet at Martins Fork trailhead

Directions to Slade:
Travel east on I-64 from Lexington towards Winchester, at 16 mi (from I-75, I-64 split), turn R. on Bert Combs Mountain Parkway; travel 32 mi to exit 33, Slade. Turn immediately L. to pass beneath the Parkway.
