Raven Run Nature Sanctuary Hike

Are you looking for a quick and easy hike this Saturday? If yes, join Hikers of the Bluegrass for a 1/2 day of hiking fun at the Raven Run Nature Sanctuary right outside Lexington, KY. Whether you're an experienced hiker or just getting started this event will be a great chance to get outdoors, meet new people, and explore some great trails.

With the rain in the forecast for Thursday & Friday I'm hoping the creeks and waterfalls will be flowing good.

The Trails: This adventure will from the parking lot and pass by the Nature Center as we head to our first stop at the Kentucky River Overlook. From there we will head to Evan's Mill. After a short break, we will then hike to Silver Falls before completing the loop and heading back to the parking lot. The trail is easy to moderate with one shallow water creek crossing. Total milage will be about 4.5 miles.

Important Details:
Meet at Raven Run main parking lot at 9:45 am with goal of hitting the trails at 10:00 am.

Bring snacks and water for the hike.
