Hike Pilot Knob & Sage Point Loop

Pilot Knob also known as "Boones Overlook" Widely believed to be where Daniel Boone first stood and looked over the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, Pilot Knob is a 750-acre nature preserve northeast of Lexington. A sandstone outcrop leads to sweeping views over the region. Our route is 4 miles with elevation gain 1092 rated moderately strenuous.
