ROUTE
We’ll start at the trailhead for Indian Fort Theater and warm up into the morning as we make our way toward East Pinnacle. We’ll take a short break at the East Pinnacle Overlook to soak in the early morning sun and enjoy the views. From there, we’ll continue on to Indian Fort Mountain, one of the best overlooks in the park. Our journey then continues to West Pinnacle, where some light rock scrambling adds fun to the adventure. After soaking up more views from West Pinnacle, we’ll make our way back to the trailhead and return to our cars.

- Sturdy hiking boots or shoes with good traction
- 2-3 Liters of water, snacks & lunch

- Weather-appropriate layers (30-50 degrees)
- Trekking poles (optional)
Experience Level: This is a great hike for both new and experienced hikers. If you’re looking to build strength, improve endurance, and gain confidence on longer routes, this hike will be a solid challenge in a supportive group setting.
Directions to the trailhead: I-75 south, take Berea exit 76, Hwy 21, go left (east) into Berea. After passing the small business district and Berea College, come to the intersection where Hwy 25 splits off left (see Boone Tavern Hotel on left). Continue on Hwy 21 to the right. From this point drive 3 miles; look for driveway(s) on the left side of the road, turn into large parking lot.
