The Complete Rough Trail
Details
Our Route: To hike the Complete Rough Trail with some stops along the way. The Rough Trail is one of the most challenging trails in the RRG, it's a doozy but not impossible. If you have hiked in Cumberland Gap or the Smokies the elevation and mileage are similar to those.

Essential Hiking Gear
- Sturdy hiking boots or shoes with good traction
- 2-3 L of Water, Snacks & lunch

No Guest: Hikers must have their own membership to RSVP for this event.
Experience Level: This hike is intended for those who can handle longer mileage and uneven terrain and move at a steady pace. We may have a swift pace at times, but we will also take as many breaks as needed.
Directions to Slade
From the I-64/I-75 southern split, drive east on I-64 16.4 mi, exit 98 Combs Mountain Parkway; drive 32 mi to exit 33, Hwy 15 (Slade); from exit go left, then immediate left (west), then another immediate left into park & ride parking lot next to GoTime gas station. Look for signs posted "Park & Ride". The carpool will leave no later than 9:05am
Shuttle to Trailhead & Important Details
We will be dropping off a vehicle at Martin's Fork Trailhead then proceed to our starting point. We hike Point to Point, the entire Rough Trail with several stops along the way. After completing our hiking route, we will arrive at the car we dropped at MF trailhead and then drive back to the other car. FYI Shuttle's take longer because of the extra driving.
