Hisle Farm Park Fitness Hike

Come join us for a walk at Hisle Farm Park. The farm hosts a variety of native plant and animal life. Most of the park is open pasture land with some forest and lakes. Hisle farm park offers a peaceful escape across 280 acres of rolling hills just 5 miles northeast of downtown Lexington. Dogs on a leash are permitted. This trail is rated easy. It's a 3.5 mile hike with both a 1 mile easy loop and a 2.5 loop leading past a pond and railroad tracks. An evening hike provides lower temperatures, late summer flower blooms, increased possibility of seeing animals like white tailed deer and lower visitor traffic for a calmer more reflective hike. Next to the parking lot is a black barn. We'll meet at the black barn. Bring water, trail snacks and a headlamp or flashlight in case we are out past 9:20 pm when civil twilight ends.
