Join us for a beginner hike that starts from the war memorial at Veteran’s Park in Lexington, KY. We’ll hike a 2-3 mile loop. The route follows forest trails with minimal elevation change and is shared with mountain bikers.

Location: Meet at the war memorial off the large lower parking lot
Distance: 2-3 miles
Time: ~1 hour
Elevation: ~200 feet ascent
Route Type: Loop
Difficulty: Beginner
Trail Conditions: Mostly forest trails with some paved paths. Shared with mountain bikers, so please be prepared to move off trail as needed.
Pets: Leashed pets are welcome to join us. Please do not allow your pet to approach another person/pet without checking first.

Recommended Hiking Gear
Shoes with good traction.

Hike Start
Meet at the war memorial off the large lower parking lot at 6:00 p.m. We will leave to hike at 6:05 p.m. This is the lot near shelter #1.

Hike End
We should finish around 7:00 p.m.

Trail Safety
This trail is shared with mountain bikers. Please be prepared to move off the trail to allow them to pass.
