Bmore VR Fall 2019 Meetup!

On Wednesday, October 23rd Bmore VR is going to the Maryland Institute College of Art!

Local developers will be there showcasing a diverse range of AR & VR experiences in an open "Science Fair" layout. Come one come all - you don't want to miss it!

Marcellus Wilson - The Legend of Ahmose: an action-adventure game that follows the story of the Egyptian Pharaoh Ahmose who travels through the underworld to the palace of the gods to gain the power he needs to save the world from dark forces. Demoed on a Gear VR.

Capitol Interactive - VietVR is a first-of-its-kind educational experience that immerses students in the history of the Vietnam and Cold War, and uses a multi-modal approach that utilizes interactive timelines, holographic interviews, and a narrative story to help students learn. Balancing the line between education and entertainment, the experiences have been aligned with curriculum objectives of AP US History, AP World History, and AP US Government in mind.

VR Games for Spinal Injury Rehabilitation: A joint project between MICA & the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The games use a special controller called a QuadStick that uses mouth movement and air to control the games.

Balti Virtual: BV is a full-service augmented and virtual reality studio aiming to inspire wonder and creativity with state-of-the-art immersive experiences. Balti Virtual will be showcasing AR projects for clients such as the Washington Capitals, Bud Light, Marvel, and Under Armour.

Pie in the Sky: A VR game in one of our classes about making Pizza that was developed by three of MICA students.

callenshaw indiegames: VR Party Club is an award-winning party game, providing easy to learn VR fun for your friends and family! 1 to 4 players will throw, roll, shoot, and slice their way to 1st place, across varied board game and minigame environments!

Relativity Theory VR: Relativity Theory 3D VR Cinema is a 3D VR production company producing high-quality 3D VR cinema content. Pushing the state of the art of 3D VR technology while telling enticing stories that take audiences on highly immersive adventure experiences.

ARTECHOUSE: This is the first innovative art space in the U.S. dedicated to showcasing experiential and technology-driven works by artists who are forerunners of the new age in the arts and technology. The Meetup display will offer informative and interactive content on our current exhibition at our DC location, upcoming live events, as well as our AR app that will activate an array of our current cocktail selection at our DC AR Bar.

Rap Research Lab: Mapper's Delight V/AR is a sculptural data visualization and exploration tool built on semantic relationships of thousands of rap lyrics. It shows how rappers cover the globe with references to cities, neighborhoods and regions, using augmented and virtual reality to put music and language at your fingertips. Explorers can discover how the world's most popular form of poetry and performance engages language arts, STEM, and cultural and data literacy for the 21st century.

HighRock Studios: Demoing two Leap Motion North Star augmented reality headsets, as well as their standard suite of virtual reality experiences. One North Star will be running a 3DOF hand tracking demo, and one will have a full 6DOF galaxies experience where you can simulate, grab and manipulate galaxies with millions of stars. Their VR suite will include experiences in a 90’ motor yacht, a luxury Four Seasons hotel room and a medical cannabis facility.

Earthborn Interactive: AR/VR contractor providing custom solutions for architecture, entertainment, training & simulation. EBI will be sharing a mini-game called Pond now available in the Oculus Store. Bow down to the RNG gods with this pickup-dropping incremental RNG mini-game.
