PLEASE PLEASE read the entire posting before asking questions.

As a rule, this ride is quite social and not a "Tour de France" kind of crowd. If you would like to have a more aggressive ride you're welcome to start and finish with us. I can give you directions of which bike paths or roads to take. I've done most of them.

EBIKES Welcome

PAHKING - (There is Free Parking at the lot next to the Peter Pan Bus Terminal at 59 Depot Ave Falmouth. (Across the street from the Peter Pan lot) So please be at the Peter Pan Lot by 730 AM... It's only a short distance from the Palmer Ave Lot so you can still take the bus back from the ferry at night.

We will be leaving the parking lot shortly after 8 so we can stop at Pie in the Sky for yummy Coffees, Teas, Lattes or smoothies before we board the Ferry.

We Take the 930 am Steamship Authority Ferry to Oak Bluffs, Return on the 615 pm from Oak Bluffs to Woods Hole. There are earlier boats if you choose

After arriving in Oak Bluff we gather in Ocean Park by the Gazebo. WE then go through camp meeting house village to see all the gingerbread cottages. Then bike to Edgartown, pick up some lunch, snacks & beverages then hit South Beach for a swim or just a picnic. You more serious riders can take off for the western parts of the island or the state forest where there are about 30 miles of paved trails.

After our stint at the beach we then pedal back to Edgartown to grab and ice cream and visit the picturesque lighthouse. When we finish in Edgartown we will proceed to Oak Bluffs to lick our wounds and sooth are aching arse's - 7 Miles - Usually at Nancy's on the water.

If some of you are more ambitious I can help you add to our ride. There are miles or great roads and trails to ride on.

THIS ISN'T A RACE BUT IT CERTAINLY IS NOT FOR THE NOVICE RIDER.
Please don't let this be your first ride of the year.!!!

Get your bike tuned up, have a few rides before you join us.
We will travel on bike paths for as much as we can. (about 3/4 the day) but some of our trip will be on regular roads.

PLEASE WEAR HELMETS & OTHER SAFETY GEAR !!

Lucky for all of us. The vineyard public buses all have bike racks attached just in case of bike or the rider breaks down. There are also a few bike shops for rentals and even repairs on the road. Bring Plenty of Water and Snacks...and sunscreen

NO-SHOWS ON THIS WILL BE VERY INCONVENIENT. SO PLEASE UPDATE YOUR STATUS IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT.

• What to bring
water, sunscreen, bathing suit, snacks, a good hat and please make sure your bike is tuned up a few weeks before our ride. Please don't make this your first ride of the year. See you on the Path !
