The beaches of Normandy will come alive again, as the massive WWII D-Day Landings will be recreated in the gaming space at Galaxy Game Cafe.
Come join a recreation of the famous D-Day Landing using a super huge, special edition Memoir '44 set of maps. Nearly 60 sq ft, over 6 connected maps, covering all of the famous battles and landmarks of Operation Overlord.
We are looking for 12 commanders, each to command their own section of this huge battle space!
Even at this scale you’ll get a feel for this massive operation, the largest amphibious landing in history, over 200,000 Allied soldiers, and sailors and a similar number of Axis defenders, with over 1200 aircraft and over 5000 vessels involved.
The basic Memoir 44: Breakthru rules will be used. The basics of the system are easy to learn and each side will have at least one experienced commander to help out, if you are new to the system.
