What we’re about
Szia! I’m new to Budapest and hoping to meet up with other English speakers to play board games. You should join if you’re interested in making friends, practicing English, or playing something fun.

Our events are a great opportunity to explore the city! We will meet at board game bars and cafe’s across the city a few times a week, so there will always be somewhere new to visit.
We play all kinds of games: modern classics (Ticket to Ride & Catan), cooperative games (Pandemic & The Crew), strategy games (Splendor & Bohnanza), word games (Codenames & Dixit), and everything in between.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing some good times!

See all- Boardgame Night @ Open Doors HungaryOpen Doors Hungary, Budapest
Come and play boardgames in English at Open Doors Hungary, under the patronage of Utilapu.
The event is free, but the seats are limited! Please if you can't come free up your space for someone else!
There is no bar, or option to buy food there, but feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks.
There are some games also, but you can bring your own games. In that case, you have to teach us :)

- BFG - Summer Solstice PartyTündérhegyi Kőfejtő, Budapest
### 🌞 Celebrate the Longest Day with a Hike, Picnic & Board Games! 🎲🥪
Let’s make the most of the summer solstice with a chill day in nature — a light hike, a picnic, and fun board games in the forest!
***
### 📅 Schedule
09:45 – Meetup at Széll Kálmán tér, at the 221 bus stop
10:00 – Take the bus to Csillebérc KFKI station
10:30–12:30 – Hike to Tündérhegyi Kőfejtő (5 km | 163 m elevation gain | ~1.5–2 hours)
~12:30 – Sunset – Picnic + board games at the destination
🌿 If weather and regulations allow, there’s a campfire spot for grilling meat, veggies, or even chimney cake!***
### 🚌 Return
You're free to leave whenever you like but on your own!
I suggest take a walk to the bus stop "Dénes utca" and take a bus number 22/22A/222 to Széll Kálmán tér. It's about a 20 minute walk. I posted a GPX file for that walk in to the comment section, but you can use google maps as well.***
### 🎒 What to Bring
✅ Water (!)
✅ Food/snacks
✅ Blanket, games, and anything fun (badminton, frisbee, etc.)
🎒 Remember: you’ll be carrying everything during the hike!***
⚠️ Important Info
The final location is deep in the forest. The nearest toilet and water source is a ~20-minute walk uphill to the Chair Lift Station, so please prepare accordingly. I posted a GPX file for that route in to the comment section.***
🕒 You’re welcome to join us later — no attendee limit!
☁️ In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed.
