This is a group for people interested in modern boardgaming. What does modern boardgaming mean? Well boardgames sure have changed from what you played as a kid - http://www.tested.com/art/454213-modern-board-game-bestiary/ ! The West Australian Boardgaming Association meets regularly each month and there are other boardgaming events happening as well.

The West Australian Boardgaming Association meets on the fourth Saturday of each month from 1pm - 10pm (and often beyond) at:

Entry is $5 or free if this is your first WABA event. Food vendors are a five minute drive away and there will be water and soft drinks for sale at the venue (proceeds to WABA). There is also a fridge and a microwave you can use if you want to.

Catan Tournament

Catan tournament using the base game. $5 entry for three rounds of play, with a break after the first game. All entry fees converted to Tactics vouchers prizes for the top three finishers, and scratchies awarded to the best and fairest players.
REGISTRATION IS NOW ESSENTIAL!

Five Table Flea Market @ WABA Mt Claremont

On 14 March 2026 in the Hakea Room at Mt Claremont WABA will be holding another Flea Market.

What you need to know:
1️⃣ Only WABA will be selling games
2️⃣ There will be FIVE tables of games - each at a different price ($40, $30, $20, $10, $5)
3️⃣ The Flea Market will open at 1.30pm (we'll be setting up before that)
4️⃣ At 2.30 the Market will close, the room will be vacated and any remaining games will be moved down one price bracket
5️⃣ The Market will then re-open
6️⃣ This will happen again at 3.00, 3.30 and 3.45 before the Market closes at 4pm

Yes, of course you can donate games for the flea market. Currently there will be over 90 games for sale. If you can't wait to buy another game, WABA members can reserve a game or two off of this list.
