Grassroots Lightning Month - Meetup 2

August 2025 is Grassroots Lightning Month at BOB Space. This month, we hear from local Bitcoiners who have been promoting Grassroots Lightning adoption by educating small merchants in their respective areas about the Lightning payment network, including onboarding merchants to receive their first sats over Lightning.

On Friday August 22nd, we wrap up Grassroots Lightning Month with Meetup 2. This time, we are joined by another special guest, Mick, a Thai Bitcoiner from Huai Phueng District, Kalasin Province. Over the past 2 years, Mick has been onboarding small merchants in Huay Phueng and introducing them to Bitcoin,Lightning and sats. The work he has done speaks for itself when you see the number of merchants in Huay Phueng accepting Lightning on BTCMap. Come listen to Mick's story and learn why/how he's doing this.
