Book description:
Tara Westover grew up in a strict and isolated survivalist family in rural Idaho, cut off from formal education and mainstream society. With no birth certificate and no schooling, she began to question everything she'd been taught. Determined to forge a different path, she taught herself enough to leave home and attend college, all while wrestling with loyalty, identity, and the transformative power of education.
