Sunday Sunset Yoga

All levels of experience are welcome to join this traditional Hatha yoga sequence to strengthen your body and mind while unblocking energetic points for emotional release and deep relaxation.
Hatha combines the two energies of the Sun (Ha) and the Moon (Tha), representing the masculine/feminine, gross/subtle, action/relaxation energies that bring nature into balance.
The Sequence:
- Pranayama: Breath regulation to clear stagnation and awaken our inner fire, while also balancing the mind and bringing steady, clear focus to our practice.
- Surya Namaskar: Strengthen, release tension, and lengthen our muscles with sun salutations, a moving prayer of gratitude.
- Asana: A series of holding postures focused on each of the 7 main Chakra points. We live in each posture, deepening flexibility in the body and clarity in the mind—when our bodies are free, our minds can more easily settle and go deep within.
- Savasana: deep relaxation, allowing our practice to settle into our bodies and allowing ourselves to come back to our natural state of tranquil contentment.
The Instructor:
Rama Priya (Kayla) is a certified Yoga Instructor from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram. Her focus is guiding others to connect with their deepest most true selves; a peaceful, joyous light of endless potential. She acknowledges each class is a transmission of all she has learned from her teachers.
