July 12th we continue our exploration of Personality through the lens of embodied psychology. Pattern number 3 - the endurer.
Do you, or anyone close to you;

  • typically resist things
  • struggle with self-expression
  • sabotage the constructive acts of yourself and others
  • express anger only in a passive way
  • live life by the mantras 'life is hard', 'I can't win', 'I just have to endure it'

The good news of somatic psychology is that this is just one response to early disappointment, and like all 'patterns of attention', can be reshaped by working with - rather than against - our nervous system.
Join us on July 12th where we will recap how the nervous system works and what Polyvagal Theory offers, place the 'Enduring' pattern in context, explore the differences between personality style, neurosis, and personality disorder, and clearly outline the way 'Home' to presence in the moment.
