Let's meet and Study the oldest Astrological source text we have from the Library of Alexandria.

This text is not only the oldest Astrological source text, but also presents a very unique system of astrological interpretation that results in a more detailed way of interpreting the planets.

The Carmen Astrologicum, or Song of Astrology was written by King Dorotheus to his son named Hermes between the years 25AD to 75AD.

This knowledge was said to have been gathered from Egypt and Babylon.

An Oxford Scholar named David Pingree made the first complete English Translation in 1976 from a Pahlavi source, which is a Persian language.

This text has a really interesting system of Astrology that gives deep insight. It seems that this system was the traditional system the was developed by the Babylonians and transmitted to Alexandria Egypt. It was later continued to be used by the Arabic Astrologers, and possibly then to India where it either formed the foundation of Vedic Astrology or was incorporated into the Indian Vedic tradition.

In this class we will cover the traditional system of House's, Exaltations and Lordships.
This is a system that helps us discern what emphasis to give each aspect of the planetary pisitions.
