Full Moon Paddle Board on the River! 🌕✨

Details
Hey Paddlers!
Ready for a magical evening on the water? Forget the stagnant pond water—we're heading to the Boise River's best-kept secret for a memorable Full Moon Glow Paddle!
Join us as we launch our boards and kayaks onto the calm, clean, and slow-moving section of the river just above the diversion dam. This spot is a true nature preserve, with no houses in sight, offering a perfect escape.
The Plan: We'll meet at 8:30 PM and paddle upstream at dusk, cruising past the Idaho Shakespeare Festival theater. The current is so gentle, it's an easy and relaxing paddle up. Around 9:30 PM, the sun will set just as the full moon begins to rise! We'll then turn around and float back down to our launch spot, guided by the moonlight dancing on the water.
The Vibe: This is all about good times and great company! It’s a social paddle, not a race. To make it a party, Jeff will be bringing a speaker for some floating tunes.
✨ Let's GLOW! ✨ If you have battery-powered LED lights for your board, bring them! Let's light up the river and create an amazing spectacle.
What to Bring:
- Paddleboard or Kayak
- Invasive Species permit $7 for paddle boards and kayaks over 10 feet (buy online at https://getoutside.idaho.gov/permits/)
- PFD / Life Jacket (Safety first!)
- LED lights for your board (optional, but highly encouraged!)
- Headlamp (just in case, though the moon should be bright enough)
- Your favorite snacks and drinks
- A jacket or warm layer—it can get chilly after sunset!
This is an easy paddle perfect for all skill levels.
See you and your glowing paddle boards on the water!
