This is not an actual event! This is an announcement of plans to move our platform from Meetup to Heylo.
Due to drastic price increases and shady business practices, Boise Nordic will be shutting down and moving to another platform, under a new name. For those that are familiar with Idaho Hiking Group, we are following their lead and transitioning to Heylo, a web group that offers event scheduling similar to what Meetup provides, albeit some differences.
Additionally, Boise Nordic was limited in activity to XC skiing and snowshoeing events, meaning it was only "active" in prime winter months. This new platform intends to maintain that opportunity, but will be expanding to allow for a wider variety of adventures in a more diverse setting. As such, the new Heylo group will be changing its name to "208 Explorers".
Those wishing to continue to participate will need to sign up for Heylo and join the 208 Explorer group.
*When I stepped down from Boise Nordic last year...Meetup sent messages stating they had been nominated to lead the group. I did NOT recommend anyone to replace me. This was a misleading statement from Meetup. Some of you may get this same message. If somebody wishes to take over this group, feel free to do so....but know that I am not nominating people to take over.
The transition process is ongoing, and may experience bugs. Anyone having difficulty is encouraged to DM me so that I may make corrections as necessary. Updates will be announced in "discussion" section of this event.
