Welcome to the Boise Beornings!
We are a friendly gathering of Tolkien fans inspired by the legendary Beorn, the shapeshifter who lived in harmony with nature. Like Beorn, we respect all creatures and strive to live in a way that honors the natural world. This smial was founded on 03 January 2025, J.R.R. Tolkien's 133rd birthday!
What we do:
🌳 Seasonal Gatherings: We meet seasonally and on special Tolkien Society days at High Note Cafe in Boise, Idaho, USA.
🍲 Vegan Feasts: Enjoy delicious vegan meals together, inspired by the bounty of Middle-earth.
🗨️ Tolkien Talk: Engage in casual discussions about Tolkien's works, his life, and the world he created.
🎲 Games and Merriment: Play Tolkien-inspired games and enjoy fellowship with other Middle-earth enthusiasts.
🍻 Toast Our Forebears: Raise a glass to Beorn and the other remarkable characters of Middle-earth.
