Marty Johncox founded New Americans Code (http://www.newamericanscode.com/) in January 2016 and teaches local refugees basic Web dev, including HTML, CSS, JS, Bootstrap, etc. He works with local refugee agencies to find students and has helped place some graduates in jobs and is working to send some students to Boise CodeWorks. Also presenting will be student Hussein Al-Saddiq, who will show recent JS functions (looping, recursion, HTML element manipulation, etc.) he has added to his portfolio page at www.newamericanscode.com (http://www.newamericanscode.com/). Student Hassen Al-Rubia will show a slider he created for Jungle World Farms, a chicken farm in Gambia that our students are helping with.
