CREW Flint Pen Strand Trails Yellow South
Details
Join us for a peaceful morning trek through the CREW Flint Pen Strand, specifically the Yellow Trail South!
This route is widely considered one of the most scenic sections of the preserve, offering a mix of classic Florida pine uplands and serene canal-side views.
The Experience
Terrain & Distance: This is a 2.5-mile loop (can be extended if we want) generally considered an easy and scenic route. Expect a mix of pine uplands, seasonally flooded marshes, and a lovely pond.
What to Expect: The trail travels along the Kehl Canal, where you can take in water views from several benches. You’ll move through "grassland" biomes and potentially spot deer, rabbits, hawks, and various birds.
Trail Conditions: Much of the trail is in full sun with minimal shade. Depending on the season, parts can be sandy, muddy, or even have standing water, so prepare for a true Florida wilderness experience.
Where to Meet
Meeting Point: We will gather at the
