We'd love for you to join Boland Adventures for an intermediate, circular hike through two glen areas that hugs the lower valleys of Table Mountain and Lion's Head, traversing areas formed by the Blinkwater and Diepsloot rivers.
During the hike, you'll experience pristine mountain streams, beaches and a visit to a lovely restaurant before we complete the circular route.
A glen is a narrow, deep and secluded valley, typically found in mountainous regions. Glens frequently contain a river or stream running along the valley floor.

Hike details:
- Distance: +/- 10km
- Elevation gain: 360m
- Grade 2A hike
- Duration: approximately 4-5 hours, depending on length of rest breaks.
- Difficulty: Intermediate hike, good fitness required, suitable for all skill levels, following a combination of hiking paths, short sections of roads and streets and beach walking.

Basic agenda:
Starting from the Lower Cable Station parking area, we will follow the Pipe Track for approximately 2 km. Just before the Cairn Ravine trail, we will turn right, which will lead us to a jeep track. This track gradually descends with some S-bends and crosses the Blinkwater stream.
Next we follow a beautiful path along the Blinkwater River to reach Hely Hutchinson Avenue. From there, we will continue to Camps Bay Drive, which will lead us into The Little Glen Nature Area.
The Little Glen Nature Area is a charming and somewhat hidden green space located on the lower slopes of Table Mountain near Lion's Head. It features lush green lawns, trees, and a tranquil stream running through it, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
Eventually, we will reach the tidal pool at Camps Bay beach. From there, we will turn right and follow the beach, passing Fisherman's Rock and arriving at Glen Beach.
After Glen Beach, the path gradually ascends through a pine forest, criss-crossing other paths until we reach The Roundhouse Restaurant at The Lawns, where we will enjoy some refreshments.
After a relaxing break at the restaurant, we will exit The Glen and follow Kloof Road to an elevated footpath below Lion's Head that offers amazing views of Camps Bay. We will then take another path back to the car park at the Lower Cable Station.
