The Body Has Teeth: A Reading & Conversation
Details
BOLD is thrilled to host The Body Has Teeth: A Reading & Conversation with Amy Baskin, David Loring Nash, Anthony DiPietro, and Summer Stewart.
Four writers enter the dark from different doors. Anthony DiPietro’s poems move through gay love, sex, and the strange repetitions of desire. Amy Baskin gives Lilith—the first woman, cast as demon—her fierce voice. Summer Stewart’s poems and essays expose the scripts written onto women’s bodies and lives. In David Loring Nash’s Northwoods, witchcraft, revenge, and human folly wait just beyond the treeline. Join them for a reading, followed by a conversation led by Summer Stewart.

Two novels, Spice and Snake Head, will be published by Unsolicited Press in 2028. She works for the Departments of English, History, and Law & Policy at Lewis & Clark College and helps run literary arts programs, including the Fir Acres Writing Workshop and the Visiting Writers Series, which is open to the public.
