Iceland may be small - less than 400,000 inhabitants - but the terrain is mighty.

There is nothing quite like this volcanic, rugged, remote island that will have you humming Led Zepplin's Immigrant Song (yeah, it's about Iceland.)

What we will cover during this travel class:

1. Timing? Why we like to go in the early spring.
2. Packing.
3. Gear for Icelandic weather.
4. Thingvellir National Park in the Golden Circle and the Caves of Hella.
5. Hot spring spas (is the Blue Lagoon worth it?).
6. Getting there and around.
7. Iceland’s many waterfalls, including Gulfoss and Seljalandsfoss.
8. Money matters.
9. Tracking the Aurora Borealis.
10. Where we go in March 2026 (and why we think you should, too).
11. Why we love all women trips and who comes on trips with us.
12. And a Q&A sesh so you can ask us questions.

How our Travel Book Club works:

We meet online via Zoom to chat about our monthly book pick. We have a list of discussion questions for our group, and you can bring your own questions and comments too if you have some.

1. The books we read are by women about travel or different cultures.
2. Grab your drink of choice and join us for an hour to talk story and travel.
3. Only guests with cameras on can attend. If your camera is not on, our host will remove you. This is to keep the group a safe space for all guests.
4. You can recommend books you think we should read next.
5. Please think of one question about the book for the group.
6. Please read the book...or at least 1/2 of it! Please do not attend if you have not read the book. We talk about the book.
