Take a Break Featuring Carly Harvey

Take a Break Thursdays at Halley Rise features Carly Harvey, DC's Queen of the Blues on July 10. Bring a chair or a blanket and a picnic (if desired) and relax in a great setting and listen to great music. The music begins at 7:00.

Halley Rise is a large grassy space behind the Reston Wegman's. The address is 2025 Fulton Place, Reston. You can park on the street or in the Wegman's garage and walk across the street.

Based out of Washington, DC, Carly Harvey combines Blues, Jazz, Soul, and Indigenous American styles to produce a unique sound. She is the originator of the "Native Scat"—an improvisational fusion of a traditional Jazz scat with Native vocables.
