Riddle of the Dinosaur by John Wilford (304 pages) - Dinosaur Ridge (5ish miles)

Details
The Pulitzer Prize-winning science reporter of The New York Times presents here a "lively introduction to many of the fascinating characters who have pursued and studied dinosaur bones, and a survey of two centuries of scientific thought on evolution" (The New York Times). Black-and-white halftones.
Let's discuss The Riddle of the Dinosaur, while walking along Dinosaur Ridge where many of the discoveries took place.
This is an old enough book, it might be hard to find at a library. Used copies are inexpensive.
We'll meet at the Rooney Road trailhead at 6:00am, starting up the Zorro trail at 6:15am. We'll walk the hogback south, past the Arthur Lakes overlook, south past the cut, before looping back and stopping at the sites along dinosaur ridge. This has some steep sections and a couple hundred foot elevation gain at the beginning, the second half will be on pavement. 2mph pace on the dirt, 2.8mph pace on the pavement.

I prefer to hike without pets or children.
You'll want normal hiking stuff, hat, water, sunglasses.
