Council Bluffs author Ryan T. Pozzi will celebrate the publication of The Mess That Made Them: How History’s Greatest Artists Failed, Floundered, and Made Something Brilliant Anyway with “Book(ed) at The Tea Smith,” a seated book launch and tea-pairing event on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
Hosted by The Tea Smith in Omaha, the launch will combine conversation about the book with a tea service inspired by its subjects. Each ticket includes traditional teas, a samovar preparation, a mocktail, and an affogato dessert tea creation.
Tickets are $20 and include admission to the event and all five tea pairings. The book is not included in the ticket price but will be available for purchase.
Guests may reserve a copy of The Mess That Made Them while ordering their tickets or preorder the book directly from The Bookworm Omaha for pickup at the event.
