What we're about
"Cover to Cover" is a reading group established in 2008, it hosts (2) forums for book discussions.
Forum (1) "Shared Inquiry" reviews and discusses a single work. Interpretive questions are of central importance to the discussion which also allow for a variety of opinions. They meet once a month, usually on a Wednesday, and at the Swanson Branch Library.
Forum (2) "Syntopical" forum reads and discusses multiple works in the nature of Mortimer Adler's Level 4 syntopical reading. Attendees are encouraged to draw on a personal history of reading experiences and knowledge to form comparisons and contrasts to the works selected. The group meets for 3 hours every two months. The GROUP leader for this forum requests that attendees must read the subject books as a courtesy to other members of the group. The meet in various locations based on the number of confirmed attendees.
Each meet-up is enjoyable and provides a rare opportunity to share insights, and we always look forward to meeting new readers.
