What we're about

We're a very laid-back group of people who love to read. Come to the meetings to discuss great literature, make new friends, and laugh! Our meetings are very informal. Even if you aren't able to read/finish each book, come anyway!

Discussion of "Less" by Andrew Sean Greer

Sanger Branch Library

Join us for a discussion of "Less" by Andrew Sean Greer. Here's a brief description of the novel: Who says you can't run away from your problems? You are a failed novelist about to turn fifty. A wedding invitation arrives in the mail: your boyfriend of the past nine years is engaged to someone else. You can't say yes--it would be too awkward--and you can't say no--it would look like defeat. On your desk are a series of invitations to half-baked literary events around the world. QUESTION: How do you arrange to skip town? ANSWER: You accept them all.

The 6th annual poetry meetup

Needs a location

This meetup is a little different from our normal book discussions. We will be sharing poetry at this meetup. Bring with you a poem you would like to read. This is totally optional...you can always just come to listen too! We'll also be having a potluck during this meetup. Bring your favorite dish with you to share! This is a perennial favorite event for our group! Hope to see you there!
