No pressure to donate - come as you are and enjoy the walk.

Join me for a morning of giving, connection, and movement! We'll have a shoe drive then enjoy a walk around the beautiful Rose Bowl Walking Loop (3.1 miles).

Before the walk begins, I'll be collecting new shoes to benefit Hope in a Suitcase, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides essential items and comfort to children entering foster care.

9:15 AM - Collect Shoes
10:00 AM - Walk the Rose Bowl Loop.
The loop is paved and flat. Leashed dogs allowed. This is my first time organizing an event like this so walk start time is a rough estimate. No pressure to donate-come as you are and enjoy the walk.

The charity emailed me a list of immediate needs this winter. Please see photos attached and let me know what you would like to donate. I want to fill their shoe needs and avoid duplicates. Special request from charity: to avoid confusion with gang affiliation, please no items for TEENS that are primarily RED or ROYAL BLUE.

Let's make a meaningful difference and get our steps in!

Let's finish the year with a cozy holiday get-together! We'll be discussing I Will Always Write Back by Caitlin Alifirenka, Liz Welch, and Martin Ganda — a heartwarming true story of friendship, compassion, and connection across continents.

What we'll be doing:
Everything's optional - feel free to just show up and join the book discussion.

🎁White Elephant Book Exchange- Bring a wrapped book that every woman should read or your favorite book from this year. It can be new or gently used.

🍪Cookie Exchange- Bring 2 dozen homemade cookies to share and swap. Don't forget a container to take home an assortment of everyone's goodies.

🍕No-Pressure Potluck- Bring something small to share if you'd like, but no stress if you just want to come and enjoy. No pressure to bring or eat anything.

Bithiah's Family Services Donation- I am holding a drive to collect body wash, shampoo and conditioner to donate to Bithiah's Family Services in Pomona. Bithiah's House is a trauma-informed residential program that supports transitional-aged women as they move out of foster care and into independent adulthood. The program provides stable housing, in-house mental health services, life skills training, and personalized casemanagement.

Let’s start the new year with clarity and confidence around your finances. This month, we’re reading The Simple Path to Wealth—a friendly, straightforward guide to investing, building wealth, and creating financial freedom. This book offers practical wisdom and simple strategies anyone can apply.

Discussion Timeline:
6:30 PM -6:50 PM: Meet and Greet/ Introductions/ Order food and drinks
6:50PM - 8:30 PM: Guided book discussion with round-table sharing.

How to Engage in Book Club:
🤓 Read (or listen to) as much of the book as you can, take notes on things that inspire you, make you think or want to remember and let's discuss!
📖 There are many popular free book resources, including the public library with apps like Libby and CloudLibrary.
There are also paid apps, such as Kindle, Audible, and Audiobooks.
