📚Special Edition February Book Club: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
Details
This year I’m doing something new—adding a bi-monthly fiction book club alongside our regular monthly non-fiction meetings.
Nothing about the non-fiction club is changing. The fiction gatherings are simply an optional space for those who want to explore storytelling and connection through novels.
The first fiction book we will read is The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. It’s a powerful historical novel about love, courage, and resilience during World War II. Set in Nazi-occupied France, it follows two very different sisters—Vianne, who struggles to protect her family at home, and Isabelle, who joins the Resistance and risks everything to fight the enemy. Through their intertwined stories, the novel explores the many forms of bravery, especially the often-overlooked strength and sacrifice of women in wartime.

🤓 How to Engage in Book Club:
Read (or listen to) as much of the book as you can, take notes on things that inspire you, make you think or want to remember and let's discuss!
đź“– There are many popular free book resources, including the public library with apps like Libby and CloudLibrary. There are also paid apps, such as Kindle, Audible, and Audiobooks.
